Maas & Bath | Showerhead Cleaning Guide Why Clean Your Showerhead?
Over time, showerheads can accumulate mineral deposits (limescale), soap scum, and even mold, affecting water flow and hygiene. Regular cleaning ensures a refreshing shower experience and prolongs the life of your showerhead.

What You'll Need:
White vinegar (distilled is best)
Baking soda
Lemon juice (optional)
Plastic bag or basin (to submerge Showerhead in)
Brush (old toothbrush)
Cloth

Instructions
1. Detach the Showerhead. Unscrew the showerhead from the hose. This will make cleaning easier. 

2. Prepare the Cleaning Solution. You can use the following solutions to clean your showerhead
Vinegar (for limescale)
Baking Soda (for grime and soam scum)
Lemon Juice (optional, for extra shine)
These at-home solutions are safe and gentle to use, non-abrasive so it won’t damage your showerhead. It is also affordable and eco-friendly.
3. Apply the solution to Showerhead
Vinegar solution: Submerge the showerhead in the vinegar solution for 30 minutes. (longer for heavy buildup)
Baking soda: Mix baking soda with a small amount of water to form a thick paste.
4. Scrub the Nozzles
Vinegar solution: After soaking, use a brush to gently scrub the nozzles, focusing on areas with visible buildup. 
Baking soda: Apply the paste to the showerhead, focusing on the nozzles, and scrub with a brush.
5. Rinse Thoroughly. Rinse the showerhead with water to wash away the loosened debris and vinegar/baking soda  solution. Run water through it to ensure the nozzles are clear.
6. Polish the Exterior
Wipe the showerhead with a damp cloth to clean the exterior and remove water spots. Dry with a soft towel to prevent streaks.
Optional. Soak a cloth in lemon juice and wrap it around the showerhead. Leave the cloth on for about 30 minutes. Scrub and rinse, then wipe with a cloth.
7. Reattach and Test. Reattach the showerhead to the hose. Turn on the water to ensure proper flow and clear out any remaining debris. Maintenance Tips and Precautions
Frequency: Clean your showerhead every 1-3 months to prevent buildup.
Prevention: Wipe down the showerhead after each use to minimize water spots. Install a water filter in the shower to reduce mineral content, prolonging the life of your showerhead.
Material check: These methods are generally safe for chrome showerheads.
